yet another bdae!
woah.. its been a wk since the last update. blame it on the msts! exams makes joy a stressed girl n a stressed girl hates fiddling around with nonsensical things such as blogs. hahaha.. dun get me wrong, i love my bloggie but priorities get better of me sometimes. not tt its a bad thing. heee.
anyway, the papers hv all been conquered. some went well n others went less-than-well.. but nevertheless, i hv back-dated events to blog abt. the most impt being the final 2 bdae celebrations of 2007!!! =)
i had fabulous bdae parties thrown by diff ppl, each of them memorable in its own way n each of them shaped my 19th brilliantly! thank u all.
the curtain call: 3rd november 2007
celebrated my bdae together with the birthdays of haz ("4.15!!") n maz.. tis pic shows the 3 of us, bored at esplanade waiting for xinyu n szerui who had apparently "went to meet a fren to collect log book"... pretty lame excuse hur? but we fell for it all the same.
the organisers had us running all over esplanade as they prepared our surprise. feeling hot, we disobeyed them n went to sit in the aircon lift lobby of the roof terrace where i met my dear bimbotic ann jia jin who was supposed to surprise me with a bouquet of sunflowers.
i guess our "appearance" in front of her shocked the dear girl even more. but still, thank you for lying abt working shift n appearing with my fav flowers!!! tt was a surprise in itself. *muackies*
since the cake was to be shared by 3.. it was a more generous one. SWENSEN'S ICE-CREAM CAKE complete with dry ice!!! talk abt betrayal of diet! hehehe.
look at the layers of strawberry, vanilla n choc ice-cream???? *licks lips*
so tempting tt even little babies wan a bite!!
the wrds on the pic r kinda small.. but they read "yet another birthday to remember".. thanks darlings.. but no thanks for the sabo. for the benefit of those who dunno wat sabo poor me had to undergo, those mischievous girls actually squirted 'snow foam' into a plastic bag with paper bits. on those paper bits were our presents n we had to stick our hands into tt sticky mess so as to retrieve our gifts, 'lucky draw' style!!
full marks for creativity but zero marks for making me look like i hv dandruff!!! sobs. =(

i tried running.. but i guess i didn't run fast enough so i got a whole head full of tt god-knows-wat substance, not to mention dandruff looking clothes n a whole lot of unwanted attn frm passer-bys. bahx!

as evening drew nearer, it was time for my 2nd surprise... xinyu accompanied me to parkway parade where gz (her bf) bought me strawberry milk tea. they then accompanied me till the army boy arrived. though he was slightly later than me, i decided not to throw a fuss on account of him having the sincerity to ask me out immediately aft his 6-day field camp. i easily contented cannot ar?!
we had western food at the marine parade hawker centre coz tekong serves up garbage. haha. i tink its not tt bad lah.. but he was craving local delights. so yups, i had to sacrifice my aircon comfort. he was sweet enough to wanna eat at crystal jade lah.. but darling, i dun exactly like chinese. =P

me: tau hwey.. u noe the soya beancurd?
(he walks off)
zest (upon returning): no more already leh..
me: then i wan sambal stingray.
(he walks off)
zest (upon returning): dun hv..

aft dinner we jalan the pasar malam before hopping onto a cab, headed for a place he read abt in the newspaper..
the jewel box at mt faber!!! it was pretty sight with all its xmas decos n bluish winter wonderland theme.. *floats around*
he then bought tickets to enter the "enchanted garden" where there was snow shows, beautiful trees n costumed ppl! the tickets r not cheap but its really worth a go coz i had such a wonderful time n ben xiao jie rarely gets impressed hor!
me at the entrance to the cable car tower.. the blue lights made me feel like i was in heaven or something. kinda magical if u ask me. =)

then came showtime.. we proceeded to the entrance of the "magical kingdom" to see the world's tallest man-made xmas tree!

the viewing ground was also home to a huge bouncy castle. n before u cld shout "stop", i was already climbing all over it. i mayb fat but i'm not as bad as some others.. at least i didn't deflate the area i stood on.
one angmo left me laughing aft he deflated his section causing me to lose my balance n tumble down if zest did not catch me.

as the shows ended, we roamed the trails of mt faber - me getting bitten by ants n he getting bitten by mozzies - as he entertained me with stories on field camp. its really sounds exciting lah! other than the powder baths n hand-dug shit holes which juz spells y.u.c.k.s in capital letters. =P
a cable car ride back followed by loads of hurrying to catch the last purple n green-line trains, ended my perfect day.
i juz was bored lah.. lalalalala~
someone gotta teach the boy not to eat n drink on the mrt. wahahaha! k lah, i kinda drank frm tt carton of peel fresh too. snow-gazing sure is thirsty business..
aft we quenched our thirst, it was cam-whoring time all the way back to tamp!!! my fav hobby of all time n his skills r improving too! practice makes perfect!! heeeee.
boarded the last bus 21 n it was nice to hv someone walk a tired me hm.. hong, thanks for the lovely day. <3
he gave me the popcorn container i hv been wanting for ages!!! apparently i "stole" it frm his sis. *runs away*
teddy now hv a baby bro to look aft. i'm unimaginative so the new bear will be called bear bear (BB) frm now onwards.
